Strella Lucent
Strella hails from a small fishing village on the coast of Meracydia. She was the heir-apparent to the clan, the matriarch-in-training as the only daughter of the reigning matriarch. She has two older brothers, one of which she has followed to Eorzea in hopes of finding a teacher in the art of astrology, and the destiny she has seen in the stars.At an early age, Strella could not stop looking at the stars. She found their consistent positions in the sky comforting, knowing they would always be there, even if hidden by clouds. She soon learned of an art by which you could read your destiny in those very same stars, and has since spent considerable time teaching herself the basics, and learning how to use her corresponding deck of cards to read her future. She knows her destiny is out there, bigger and better than the tribal life she was groomed for.She has an enthusiastic personality, and a playful demeanor. She is used to being the most important person in the room, and does not hesitate to prove she deserves to be. She has no qualms about using her looks to get something she wants; be that attention, a drink, or entrance to places she has no business being in. She hopes her honed skill in flattery will help her accomplish her goals.
The Story So Far
Upon arriving in Eorzea, Strella's first order of business was to find her brother. She had only the information he had sent in letters home to go by, so it took her longer than she had hoped. It didn't help that he was no longer the clean cut boy she had once known.After they were reunited, Strella moved in with him, and used that as her base of operation. Her first goal was to find a teacher. This also took longer than she had hoped, and ended up far different than she expected. After weeks of bothering the deskkeeper of the Athenaeum Astrologicum and getting nowhere, she instead formulated a plan to speak to the master directly. This plan worked, and while she did not get the honor of his tutelage, she was offered a seat in the vaunted Studium of Sharlayan. She still does not realize how lucky she is to have been offered that seat.Serendipity was not done with her yet. On a night like many others, she wandered into a tavern unlike any other, and her life changed. She knew that she was meant to find these people, and they welcomed her like a long lost sister. She has earned a spot among the Phantasms, and now calls House Azeros her home. She will do everything in her power to live up to everything that name stands for.She has loved, and tragically she has lost. As she nursed her broken heart, she found a soft landing in the arms of a golden-scaled dragoon. While the relationship is young, it has bloomed into a remarkably strong bond, it's hard not to believe that there aren't other forces that have brought them together.She's content with her small collection of friends, and her chosen family in the Phantasms. That being said, she is always open to chat with someone she has not yet met.
